Chapman is undoubtedly an extremely talented and versatile songwriter.
The collection of his songs on this CD is testimony to this fact. The song
"Say a Little Prayer for the children", is a pop classic with a
serious mes¬sage that will be forever relevant to our existence.
Mavis John's version of "I Will be Your Friend",
still has the enviable record of being the most requested song on radio, It's
a beautiful melody sung by one of the World's best female singers.
"Crying's Easy" is another quality song that falls into that category
and Junior Byron captures the emotion perfectly.
"Sunday Morning" by Peter Britto was another turn
table hit that surprised every¬one and Oliver had himself yet another
smash hit.
Jackie Wonder and
Johnny Douglas with "Sexy Lady You" and "Too
Hot to Lose" respectively along with Oliver's vocal
contributions which include "Take me with You", "Tanty Say"
and "Down in Point Cumana",
Plus two bonus tracks (a) The good Times of our Lives" and Behind bars,
are all creditable works.
Song bird Carol Addison did a splendid performance with the
song "Turn of the Lights", as well as american singer Angee
Blake, "Sweeter Than Anything", Keith "Designer"
Prescott, "You'll be the One", and Sam Archer,
the Tobago Born Singer/musician with "The Way You Breathe On Me, a sure
Shot, which adds even more variety to this fabulous collection.
This CD is a must for anyone in love with music with melody.
